The question of \u2018What is art? \u2019 has confounded some people for many years, but an answer seems simple to me: It\u2019s how humankind expresses ourselves, in a vast array of methods. And that is what I will be writing about, examples of art and design expressed in the world.
Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to London, England and while there, visit some truly wonderful museums, galleries, and other sites with wonderful examples of Artwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It includes reviews of The Victoria and Albert Museum: Their website ( http:\/\/www.vam.ac.uk\/) proclaims itself the \u201cWorlds greatest museum of art and design\u201d and I\u2019m here to say, in an era of advertising overload, that description is 100% accurate! As a working designer and artist, I have never seen such a wonderful collection of art and design in one place, and that\u2019s including New York and Boston. The fact that it includes true design as well as fine art is a testament to the breadth of items in the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cortauld Gallery, ( http:\/\/www.courtauld.ac.uk\/gallery\/index.shtml ) is a small (as compared to huge ones like the also lovely National Gallery) wonderful gallery,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Churchill War Rooms (http:\/\/www.iwm.org.uk\/visits\/churchill-war-rooms) sounded intriguing and lived up to our expectation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The London Transport Museum http:\/\/www.ltmuseum.co.uk\/ The examples of past Subway art and posters was very fun to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the National Gallery (http:\/\/www.nationalgallery.co.uk\/ ) and National Portrait Gallery (http:\/\/www.npg.org.uk\/ were both wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
